A short post to all let you know that the new Radiohead CD - Hail to the Thief is available for downloading all over the web right now. That's right the F'ING NEW RADIOHEAD CD IS AVAILABLE NOW!!!! check the excellent atease multimedia message board for postings on where you can download it. It became available late March 30th and since I was out of town all weekend I just found out about it. I have successfully downloaded it, but I am going to wait until later tonight to listen to it. People are saying it sounds like the proper follow up to 'OK Computer' in that it has a strong guitar sound. I cannot wait to listen to it. It usually takes me about 5 listens to Radiohead CDs to really appreciate them, so I guess I know what I am going to be listening to all week. Read many reviews here .

You can download an excellent anti-war song from Rage's Zack de la Rocha and DJ Shadow.   download  Also be sure to check out the lyrics and the statements from both Zack and DJ Shadow.  So many people keep saying that musicians and actors and all artists should stay out of politics and keep their opinions about the war and Bush to themselves.   But DJ Shadow correctly states that it's an artists responsibility to reflect the world around them.  Some do it through their art and others do it through speaking.   Plus artists can speak and people will actually listen and if they have this power I think it's great that they use it to speak out is opposition to what they, and most of the world, think is a atrocity in the making.

Download the Beastie Boys anti-war song here.

Check out this list of anti-war hip-hop songs that are worth downloading and listening to in this time of war.

Coldplay played Atalanta last night and it sounds like it was a great show. I heard a interview that Chris and Johnny did with a radio station before they went on and both of the guys were funny and kind even though the DJs at 99x asked questions like "What does it feel like being one of the first English bands to break it big in the US" Chris's reply was "Ever heard of the Beatles?" Also they mentioned they had met Elton John that day... and what do you know guess who shows up to play "Trouble" on piano?

I'm on vacation starting tomorrow...see you all when I get back.

Audio BullysI've been listening to this new band out of England called Audio Bullys, their the first band that I've heard that seemed to be inspired by the Streets.   They have that same UK/White Boy/Geezer flow about their raps, but the music is way more acid house based.  They have a record coming out in March called Ego War.  I've been listening to it along with their Essential Mix from earlier this year.   I expect these guys to become pretty popular.  Here are few articles that better describe their sound.  1  2  3.  You can hear some of their music here.

Here's a excellent site for downloading live Coldplay shows, some new some older.  I am not sure how long this guys hosting company will allow the site to be up.

Blur has announced a show at the Bowery Ballroom, it sold out within a day, let's hope that theyadd a few more dates in the US.  They sold out 5 nights at the Astoria in London over the weekend.   I am really digging their new single 'Out of Time'.

My cousin is going to see Interpol at Irving Plaza this weekend, I am officially jealous.

Coldplay live in PhillyRadiohead have announced they are going to be doing a small club tour of the UK in anticipation of their new CD being released.   This is fairly new trend that a ton of bands seem to be doing.  Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Sum 41( the Sum on your Face Tour), Linkin Park are doing it now too.   I've seen Radiohead in fairly large places before and I would love to see them in a small venue.   They have to be one of the top live bands around.

Here's a webcast of a whole Coldplay show from late summer last year.    Coldplay have been playing so many new songs in their recent tour.  Ladder to the Sun, Gravity, Poor Me, Moses, and last night in Detroit they played another one called Proof.    You can download many of these at Justspies.com    Let's hope that this means that soon after completing their tour, Coldplay start working on their new CD and release it shortly after that.    I am tired of bands taking so long to release CDs.   The Beatles used to release two amazing CD of amazing quality songs in a year.  Why can't bands at least release CD once every two years.   It took Coldplay a little over 2 years, it took Richard Ashcroft almost 3.    It took Massive Attack and most other bands a lot longer then that.   I guess they have their reasons, like Coldplay scrapped a whole CD of songs since they weren't really feeling it, but sometimes when a band is prolific as Coldplay it seems like the records company is holding them back, because they are still making money from their older CD.

Proof of 3-D's drug useSpeaking of Massive Attack, Robert "3D" Del Naja  was arrested for internet porn charges and possession of Class-A drugs.   He made a statement shortly after being released saying how he has never looked at child porn and for people not to judge him before the whole story gets out.  Since that happened at the end of last week I have not really heard anything.   I for one am very sure that he is not a perv and think he might be taking this hit for his strong anti-war stance.   About the drug charge, I have a strong suspicion that he probably did have drugs at his house.

The new blur CD "Think Tank" is was found on most P2P file sharing programs over the weekend.   I for one think the quality of blur CDs has slowly declined since they reached amazing highs with the release of Modern Life is Rubbish and the Parklife.   I'm giving the new one a spin and will let you know what I think later.     Here is what the writer of the braquage blog had to think. "Blur's new single "Out of Time" has seeped its way onto the internet, as has the rest of the album Think Tank via covert means. Upon the first couple of listens, it really sounds refreshing compared to what I was imagining FatBlur Slim would sound like without Graham Coxon. The album has a definite North African vibe on a couple tracks, and some moments that would make James Lavelle proud, as the one thing there seems more of this time around is BASS! Early standout tracks include "Out of Time," "Brothers and Sisters," "Gene By Gene" and the hidden track "White Noise." Not a proper rock tune in sight, and perhaps all the better for it."
