I hope someday we get to hear these, because the songs the Coldplay throw away are probably way better then most of the songs other bands put out these days. (As witnessed by the high quality of B-sides and excellent songs that they never released (ex. "Harmless" - use your favorite file sharing program of choice to look that one up.)  From the NME "Exclusive - Coldplay scrap four albums!"  Also make sure to pick up the new Coldplay Live 2003 DVD and CD - I haven't watched it yet, but I've heard it's very well done - now available cheap at your favorite electronics conglomerate.  You can see clips online here. Unfortunately it's not in the widescreen goodness as on the DVD.

Reminder: The Strokes begin their Tuesday night residency on Conan O'Brein. Sadly it's only for the month of November. Also check out lastnite.org, always a good source of live strokes, at least 'til their bandwith runs out. Check out this show from the new and excellent "Room on Fire Tour. Update - they played the excellent "Reptilla" If you don't already have the CD - what the hell are you waiting for?
