The Pharrell Williams Movie?

Details of the new Coldplay Live DVD are emerging. The Tour Documentary spoke of in the article could be thing the bassist was filming. Can't wait for this one.

Children of Zion!!!!

Radio 1 - my favorite radio station of all time - kicking the ass of any stations on XM - brings it again.  Not only do they let people listen to a weeks worth of shows but they stream a lot of their excellent one off events.  This time it's the One Big Weekend in Cardiff - that's in Wales for you geographically un-inclined.   There was the Dance Day featuring the Chems, Basement Jaxx (look for excellent new CD coming soon), Seb Fontaine and others.   And there was the pop/rock day featuring Travis (yeah!!), the Thrills, the Darkness (boooo!!!), Dido, and Pink.   You can stream sets from many of these artists right now, but hurry up since I don't know how long they will be available.   Travis is going to be in the Live Lounge on Tuesday, Sept 30th, so make sure the check back and listen to the interview and performance.    On remember the Chemicals greatest hits is out next week, the 30th, I can't wait to get the DVD.

forget Chris Martin - this is he niceist guy in rock

This site has been neglected for a while, sorry for any of you who actually read this site.

Hopefully I will get back on track, but I could never be as diligent as some of the blogs I read daily: whatevs.org and themodernage

Check out the new South site, and pick up the new CD on Tuesday - only in the US, sorry for those in the UK who don't get a release until next year.  But you can listen to the whole CD now from this VH1 site.

I am finally going to some shows. First the mighty the Strokes with the almost as mighty 'Southern Strokes' Kings of Leon opening at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. I am psyched since I have never seen the Strokes live and I want to see if they and the Kings can deliver live as they can surely deliver on record. Hopefully I can download the new Strokes CD, "Rom on Fire" and become familiar with the new songs before the show as the CD doesn't come out until a few days after I see them.   Until then I will listen to '12:51' ad naseum.

Also I am really psyched to see Travis, on Halloween in Toronto. Not only am I happy to see them in Toronto (the crowd is always better then in Chicago) at the Hummingbird Centre, but with my excellent web skills I was able to acquire 4th row seats for all 4 of us through Ticketbastard. First time I am seeing a show in a seated hall so close up and the third time I am seeing Travis. Excellent new CD btw comes out Oct 14th.

I am upgrading my digicam to the Canon A70. Can't wait to take some panoramic and night shots. I would love to get a picture I took on this site: DigitalPhotoContest.com
Hopefully I'll be sneaking this into some upcoming shows.  sssshhhh.

Elated and Gutted:  This describes my feelings as I found out that the Bluetones are actually coming to this side of the pond, but only playing 3 shows none of which I can attend.  I've been into them since '95 and they have only ever played 2 shows here before.   You can download the video of the excellent song 'Never Going Nowhere' here.

Sad news about John Ritter (he's dead)

More sad news - Johnny Cash dead. It's a shame that his video for "Closer" didn't get the recognition that it deserved at this years VMA. It was a good thing that he wasn't at the show.

Who do these guys in Coldplay think they are? First Chris beats up the car of a photographer who is snapping pics of Chris attempting to surf in wetsuit and now the drummer, Will Champion, is suing his neighbor for accidently taking his cab. Remember when they used to be the nicest guys in rock? I guess being the best band in the world according to Justin Timberlake has gone to their heads.
